Salvatore Borrelli is the man behind (etre), Wondrous Horse & Harps of Fuchsia Kalmia. After an early stage dedicated to sonorous installations and music improvisation until 2005, (etre) elaborated an unusual patchwork between post-digital & concrete electroakoustic music, working out different typologies of media not-strictly-resounding ad neon, glass, robots, metals, and field recordings in particoular, extending the criterion of total improvisation in extemporaneous way passing to the praxis of the body manipulation. From this mixing typology of interfaces, (etre) originates his first official work on french Baskaru, a sort of glitch-patchwork drenched by abstraction and paranoia. The use of electronica and real instruments goes in hard-section of noise and avantgarde with following works focused on a chaos-approach based on different “old” methods and “new” types of re-combinations, doing an electronic between harsh noise, minimalism, improvisation. An exemple of this approach it’s “So far”, a CD producted with Fabio Orsi & Gianluca Becuzzi on Porter Records. Memories of this first embryo, of the combination between electroakoustic elements & avant-folk approach of this phantomatic “duo” he has recorded the work “Cavallo Meraviglioso” on Fire Museum Records based on Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
